Free X tools that solve one job well.

View public posts, save useful research, and clean up your X account without piecing together unreliable utilities.

View and research

Open public X content and collect posts from accounts you need to study.

Download someone's posts

Researching another account one post at a time makes comparison, filtering, and export unnecessarily slow.

  • Collect posts from a public X account
  • Search and filter the downloaded timeline
  • Export selected posts for research or backup

Read and save

Turn difficult threads and embedded media into files you can keep and use.

Thread Reader and PDF export

Long X threads are hard to read, easy to lose, and awkward to share outside the timeline.

Paste a post URL to rebuild the full thread as a clean reading view and export it as a PDF.

  • Rebuild connected posts in reading order
  • Remove timeline distractions
  • Export the complete thread as a PDF

Twitter media and video downloader

Images, GIFs, and videos inside X posts are difficult to save in their original available quality.

Paste a public post URL to inspect and download its attached images, GIFs, and video files.

  • Download images from a public post
  • Save GIFs and available video files
  • Keep media alongside the source post

Clean and manage

Reduce account clutter and keep your X connections organised and secure.

Clear inactive following

Old and inactive accounts fill your following list, making the timeline less useful and account review slower.

Identify accounts that have stopped posting and review them before cleaning up your following list in batches.

  • Choose the inactivity period that matters to you
  • Review inactive accounts before taking action
  • Unfollow selected accounts in batches

Free X tools FAQ

Do I need an X account to use these tools?

Twitter Viewer, Thread Reader, and the media downloader work with public post URLs without requiring an X login. Account management tools need access to your own signed-in X session.

Can these tools access private posts?

No. Public viewing and download tools only work with content that is publicly available. Twillot does not bypass private account permissions.

Can I export threads and posts?

Yes. Thread Reader can export a reconstructed thread as PDF, and the public posts workspace supports export for selected posts.

Are these X tools free?

Each tool has a free way to get started. Usage limits and advanced batch features depend on the tool and your Twillot plan.
